Moose Camp Fishing Resort,
on Rioux Lake in the North Thompson region of British Columbia,
Canada, boasts an historic tradition of blending excellent food,
clean fresh air, pristine lakes, relaxing Kamloops Rainbow trout
fishing, and great company into a mixture that is unbeatable.
Three generations of families
have returned to enjoy the great angling and scenic beauty of this
area near Clearwater and Wells Gray Park. Access to Moose Camp Fishing
Resort has improved over the years, from the days where you rode
in by horseback to the present time where you travel in on a gravel
road. This has ensured that guests of all ages can enjoy Moose Camp.
Experience
incredible BC freshwater fly angling in a remote wilderness setting,
as you try your hand at fly fishing for the world famous 'fighting'
wild Kamloops rainbow trout. Moose Camp Fishing Resort offers a
variety of trout lakes within hiking distance, as well as several
lakes that require a four wheeler trip to reach them. For our more
adventurous guests we offer the thrill of Heli-fishing. We have
an experienced helicopter pilot fly you into remote locations to
fish in 'your own' lakes.
Angling, however, is only part
of what the Moose Camp experience is all about. We invite you to
bring your camera to capture the abundance of native BC wild flowers
and wildlife close to your cabin door near Clearwater and Wells
Gray Park in the North Thompson region of British Columbia, Canada.
While
many come to enjoy the excellent trout fishing the area has to offer,
many come simply to relax and enjoy the incredible natural surroundings.
Protecting our pristine wilderness areas for generations to come
is a major concern of ours. Come and enjoy various activities including
hiking, horseback riding, touring Wells Gray Park, nature walks,
canoeing, and so much more.
Our accommodations at Moose
Camp Fishing Resort consist of separate rustic log cabins, tastefully
decorated to harmonize with their surroundings, that comfortably
sleep up to five guests. All log cabins have wood heating, indoor
plumbing, hot & cold running water, showers and an enchanted
view of Rioux Lake.
