Fishing Report: Paradise Lake supports a very good small Rainbow fishery with trout averaging in the 1/2 lb. range. Ocassionally 4-5 lb. trout will end up at the end of your line. Due to its elevation Paradise is a consistent performer throughout the open water season. Fast action, with an 8 fish per day limit makes Paradise an excellent family lake. Trolling small lures, flatfish, and spinning gear, as well as fly fishing will all catch fish.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Nearby Lakes

Island Lake - Island Lake located just minutes to the northwest of Paradise, has a surface area of 53 ha. (131 ac.) and lies at an elevation of 1509 m. (4950 ft.). Fishing is consistent throughout the summer months for Rainbows in the 1 lb. range. Island is also known to produce large trout up to 10 lbs. A 5 vehile BCFS campsite and cartop boat launching is available at the lake.

Boot Lake - Boot Lake is 30 ha. (74 ac.) in size and is located 5 km. (3 mi.) east of Island. This lake supports good quantities of Rainbows in the 1-2 lb. range and like Island is quite capable of producing large fish as well. Boot has a 4 vehicle BCFS campsite and cartop boats can be launched. The access road to the lake is very rough and a 4wd vehicle may be necessary.

Other lakes in the area include Bobs, Boulder, Elkhart, Johns, Reservoir, Skunk and Walker. All are high elevation lakes that consistently produce good catches throughout the hot summer months. Some of these lakes are hike-ins and you can get directions to them by visiting the lodge at Paradise Lake.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
